Opus One: California’s First Cult Wine

Written by MPV on . Posted in MPV news

opus_oneThe very first cult wine to originate in California, today, Opus One is still considered to be one of the greatest. This glory stems from the story of two great men, Robert Mondavi, on the one hand, and Baron Philippe de Rothschild on the other, who sought to create a Bordeaux blend based on the Cabernet Sauvignon from the famous To Kalon parcel, in Oakville. Today, experts all agree and recognize that Opus One has a distinct personality that plays a role in perpetuating the legend…

The HMR Foundation now ranks among the great Canadian vintages of the philanthropy world.
